Meet the Author
Kimberly Staten is a West Virginia native, born and raised as a true coal miner’s daughter in the foothills of this humbling, yet majestic state. It is to these beginnings which she attributes her love of nature, appreciation for authenticity, and connection with her Creator. She is also proud to be the granddaughter of a World War II Veteran, the great-granddaughter of one of the original "Rosie the Riveters," and the great-great granddaughter of a Native American. After graduating from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, she became reacquainted with her love of writing when her life was rerouted following a car accident and struggle with Lyme Disease. During this pivotal time, she learned that while Life cannot always be mapped, the coordinates of your heart will always lead you home.
